Welcome to the ‘Ermitage’!
Located very close to the centre of La Rochelle this former schoolhouse was renovated in 1999; we offer a friendly and relaxed base from which to discover the town and surrounding area on the Atlantic coast. We are a 10-minute walk to the town centre and parks and a 15-minute walk to La Rochelle’s old port.
Our philosophy is quite simple and can be summarised by a quote from Dalai Lama:

General Information
The ‘Ermitage’ is located in a quiet residential area, only a short walk from the city’s historic centre. We have a variety of accommodation available and can sleep up to 29 people in our B&B rooms and self-catering accommodation.
There is a convenience store within 200 m of the house.
Secure parking is available within the grounds of the property.
We have a no-smoking policy inside the accommodation but you are welcome to smoke outdoors.
Pets are welcome.
A baby-sitting service can be organised upon request. Please ask for further details.

B&B in the main house
In total we can offer 5 double beds and 6 single beds (we can put an extra bed or cot in the bedrooms). Bedrooms are between 10m² and 25m² (108ft² and 270ft²).
Prices (INCLUDING breakfast and local accommodation tax) Large room with private bathroom: 90 € per night Medium room: 60 € per night (shared bathroom with 2 other rooms)
Small room with private shower room: 75 € Extra bed: 15 € per night
Pet: 10 € per day (you can leave your pet in the garden during the day… we’ll take care of it!)
Deposit: A 50 % deposit is required to secure your booking.
A reduction is available for longer stays.
INDEPENDENT GITE (self-catering home)
Our 60m² gite, within the ‘Ermitage’ grounds, can accommodate up to 7 people – with full use of the 1000m² garden.
It comprises:
Ground floor: Lounge with a sofa-bed for 2 people, kitchen that opens out onto the garden.
First floor: 3 small bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with bunk beds and finally one with a single bed with its own shower room??. There is also a bathroom (with bath) and a separate WC.
Facilities Indoors: TV, coffee machine, microwave, fridge Outdoors: BBQ, deckchairs, children’s play area, hammocks
Other Information
Bed linen and towels can be provided at a cost of 10 € per person.
Security deposit: Upon arrival we will require a security deposit of 500 € against damage or breakages. This will be returned at the end of your stay.
Cleaning: You are responsible for cleaning the gite before you leave. We can however arrange for cleaning at an additional cost of 50 €.
Tariffs
2-night/weekend stay: 250 €
2-night/weekend stay over national or bank holidays or special events: 350 €
Weekly rental:
November-January 500 €
February-June, September-October, Christmas and New Year: 600 €
July and August: 700 €
INDEPENDENT STUDIO
The 18m² studio, overlooking the garden, can accommodate 4 people.
It comprises:
kitchenette with an indoor and an outdoor eating area
small bedroom with a double bed and a set of bunk beds
shower room with WC, shower and sink
Facilities: Indoors: coffee machine, microwave, fridge Outdoors: BBQ, deckchairs, children’s play area, hammocks
Other information
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Security deposit: Upon arrival we will require a security deposit of 300 € against damage or breakages. This will be returned at the end of your stay.
Cleaning: You are responsible for cleaning the studio before you leave. We can however arrange for cleaning at an additional cost of 30 €.

Supplement 5 € per night for each additional guest
Weekly tariff for 2 guests…
October-April: 320 €
May-September: for this period there is a 25 € supplement per person per week
